Cavalete Sideboard

Cavalete Sideboard

design by Karol Suguikawa
The design of this table originates from the archetype of the trestle, reinterpreted through a precise structural gesture. By rotating the support beam, the square becomes a diamond, creating an interlocking joint that passes through the tabletop, uniting structure and surface into a single visual expression. The frame preserves the lightness traditionally associated with the trestle while acquiring a more architectural presence, capable of supporting large formats with stability and elegance. A piece where geometry, joinery, and proportion define the design.

Design by Karol Suguikawa

Restless, creative, and proactive, the architect and designer has in her authorial production an eye for behavior and the arts, especially neo-concretism. Her visual and affective memories are the fuel for her creations, which are corroborated by behavioral research.
